Walk for Epilepsy 2024 - My Why??

Tuesday 1st Oct
This October, I’m walking 100km over 25 days to raise awareness and funds for those living with epilepsy. This cause is close to my heart as I walk for my sister-in-law, Rhianna (Aunty Rhi), who lives with epilepsy, and in memory of Wesley, who sadly passed away in November 2023.
Wesley’s story is one of both tragedy and hope. His incredible mum, Nataly, was one of my CPR students just weeks before Wesley suffered an epilepsy-induced cardiac arrest. Thanks to the CPR Nataly performed, along with the swift response of emergency services, Wesley’s heart began beating again. Despite being flown to Brisbane and placed on life support, it was determined that Wesley had no further brain activity.
But Wesley’s story didn’t end there. He became a hero, donating his liver to two children, his kidneys to two adults, and his beautiful heart to one child, giving them the gift of life.
Please support me in this walk, as we raise awareness and vital funds to support others living with epilepsy. Together, we can make a difference 💜
