My Updates

A message from Stacey:

Tuesday 15th Oct
This October, I’m Running for Epilepsy, something I never imagined would be so close to my heart. In April this year, Will was diagnosed with Epilepsy, and from that moment, life as we knew it changed. We were faced with the reality of seizures, countless hospital visits, tests, daily medications and sleepless nights. Testing to date has shown us that Will’s diagnosis comes with the challenge of being drug-resistant. My Run for Epilepsy starts while we are in hospital, we are here for 5 days of testing, so will be a slow start and playing catch up when we get home again. These tests will help his neurologist team prepare for an upcoming brain surgery in the hope that it will stop the daily seizures Will currently faces.

Living with Epilepsy isn’t just about the seizures. It’s the unpredictability, the constant adjustments to life, and the fear of what might happen next. It’s also about hope, hope that with the right support, research, and awareness, things can and will get better for those living with Epilepsy.

I’d be so grateful for any support, whether it’s joining the challenge, donating, or simply sharing this message. Every bit of awareness raised makes a difference.
